Ruthless Original | 01.26

Hi friends—a very late rundown of January!

Kicked off the new year with another fresh portrait by Monika Mabiki and a teaser of a few engagements coming down the pipeline I can’t wait to talk about soon..

In short though, have spent the year so far deep in self-producing mode for Ruthless Jabiru’s April collaboration with Ensemble Offspring. If you were wondering who’s crazy enough to dream up and deliver orchestral projects from a tiny canalboat for 15 years:

and for those of you within reach of London.. we’ve just gone live with the date! Lock Friday 24 April in your diaries and signup to the waitlist for tickets

Huge thanks to those of you who’ve contributed to Ruthless Jabiru’s 15th anniversary Crowdfunder in recent weeks.. your support is what makes our ambition possible! A reminder we’re still shooting for our goal of 400 supporters and you can add yourself to the count with a single pound in solidarity with everything the orchestra represents for socially-engaged programming, composer advocacy and imaginative approaches to orchestral performance

Just £1 and 30 seconds adds your name to our cause. Clickthrough and let’s Raise the Ru

Meanwhile.. creativity journals are back!

Manuscript has been especially popular or there’s blank and grid options (my personal favourite) for the slate best suited to your creative flow. Let’s get our magical ideas out onto paper and inspire the youngsters watching us to do the same. Browse our shop for Ruthless Jabiru’s current merch range

Another way to support is by signing up for free to Easyfundraising. Super simple.. the clue’s in the name. Just select Ruthless Jabiru as your cause and you’ll be prompted to install the donation reminder. Once done, the orchestra will receive a small percentage every time you shop online at absolutely no cost to you

I’ll use smart links wherever poss for my mixtapes going forward so you can checkout via your streaming platform of choice. I know streaming’s not for everyone.. I’ve written a few words about it here for anyone interested and will continue working to find the most impactful ways to amplify and support our composer-creator friends

Thus my January offering:

Thanks to you all again for your continued support and patience as I settle my updates into this platform. Please keep in touch and if anyone feels compelled to buy me a virtual coffee you can do so here!
