Hi everyone—another very belated edition but hopefully worth the wait..
As I spent the entirety of February nose to the grind on it, I’m breaking my own rule to lead with the even more recent news that my orchestra Ruthless Jabiru‘s 24 April performance with Ensemble Offspring will be hosted by the legendary IKLECTIK at Peckham Levels and is now onsale!

Co-curated with (powerhouse) Claire Edwardes, Ensemble Offspring‘s Artistic Director, this musical collection takes us on an imagined foray into the sound and emotional landscape of bushfire.. and out the other side! I’ve been reading a lot around Cultural Fire for this project, both a means of healing imbalance in Country and prevention against increasingly catastrophic wildfires driven by climate change. Really want to direct more light onto these practices in the framing of our show so for any friends interested in pitching previews, editorial, interviews, reviews etc, our full press release here:

Just one Feb playlist.. but check my feed if you’re feeling bereft as there’s already been a couple more since! You can do so and also signup for fortnightly(ish) mixtapes as-they-happen at: kellylovelady.com/category/mixtapes
As you can tell, the bulk of my February was spent being a producer.. just love nurturing even the smallest curatorial details but can’t wait to be a musician again someday soon! Stay tuned for several awesome conducted projects soon to be announced..
In the meantime, other Feb activities included surtitling Lemi Ponifasio’s Sea Beneath the Skin / Song of the Earth for Barbican; also predictably brilliant freelancer workshops with friends at The Fearless Artist and Christina Poulton Creative—highly recommend both operations.
Thanks everyone, can’t wait to see you at Peckham Levels on 24 April!
